30/3 Weight is our medium strand of linen. It is a 3ply
thread. When I want my primitive stitches to be larger then
1/4" I use this weight. It is the best weight to use when
sewing on buttons which leave a tie on the front side of the button.
It will also tie a very nice bow. |
16/2 Weight is the thickest strand of linen. It makes great bows
and has been very popular with Tole Painters. I use it when I
want a very large primitive stitch, 1/2" - 3/4". I have
used it to tie on larger buttons. The thickness of this thread is
equivalent to about 5 strands of embroidery floss. This is a two ply
thread. |
